I'm Challenging You!

For the next 6 weeks, just in time for the start of the holiday season, I'm challenging you to step it up a notch in your strength and conditioning program.

All you have to do is commit to one positive change, add a new type of training, add an additional training day (without over training), take one bad thing out of your diet. The choice is yours.

Post your goals here, and check in regularly to let me know how you're doing. Think of it as your online training support group. I'm excited to hear how it goes!

Ok Pam, I have mine. I will start taking my lunch to work 4 out of 5 days a week (at least). Lately I have been eating every lunch meal in a restaurant which is not only ridiculously unhealthy but also EXPENSIVE. And I can't afford it in either respect. So- pack healthy lunches, cook enough dinner to have leftovers, only allow myself one restaurant lunch a week. This week is the first week.

Erica, that's a good goal. There are a ton of hidden calories and fat in restaurant foods. I have no doubt you will see a difference as well as save a few extra bucks for the holiday season.

I admit left-overs are hard for me. I usually like the food I make so making excess for the next day usually results in a second dinner a few hours later. Not good.

I've also found that having portable food items on hand makes life easier as well. Greek yogurt, cut fruit or veggies, some frozen veggie products are also a good alternative for the 'throw it in a bag to eat later approach.'

Lookin forward to your progress!

thanks for the ideas! I am looking forward to progress too. Also I have realized that eating a better lunch does wonders for that tired-after-work feeling that sometimes has me napping through class :)

Ok... I'm game... I'm in the middle of a decluttering and budgeting challenge right now... so what's a fitness challenge on top of that?

My goal: Is to start working out regularly and stick with it. I want to get into fitness as a routine and a habit. I know what is good for me. I know what I NEED to do. But being a busy mom of 3 makes it hard. I just need to stop whining and do it.

I also want to start keeping track of what I eat so Ican find out what my weak areas are (like chocolate and 4 cups of coffee with cream every day).

Love your blog. Thanks for this challenge.

Woowhoo Angela!!

Might as well add it into the gameplan, perhaps the challenge with everything else will keep you on track.

Let us know how you're doing, and of course if you need any help or suggestions along the way, feel free to post them hear.

Congrats for stepping up to the plate, you'll feel fantastic once everything is rolling.

I am in... I am in the middle of adopting the "Paleo Diet" in to my life style. I am 5-6 weeks in and 14 pounds down. My goal is to keep it up. Along with this, I have pledged to stay consistent with my workouts (good so far).
Traditionally, I usually lose my grip on my wieght loss regime about now, so this will be a great motivator. Those that know me feel free to be on my case when you see me. All others can berate me on this blog
